Who are we?

A French association

ISU-France is a French association by law (Law of 1901) composed of:

* Alumni: The association aims to bring together all the International Space University alumni (ISU) who are residing in France

* ISU supporters: The association unites all the individuals and organisations interested by ISU, and wishing to support ISU activities and academic programmes.

La France

Several hundred alumni - French but also with many different nationalities - are currently residing in France. Hence, the ISU-France association was created in 2001, during the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget.

A few French space professionals have actively supported the association from the start, such as misters Louis Laidet (CNES) - the first ISU-France president, Marcel Pouliquen (SNECMA), Jean-Michel Contant (EADS) et Philippe Guérit (CNES).

Today, the ISU-France team assembles some recently graduated ISU alumni. To meet the team, please click here.

At the heart of our action: ISU and its alumni!

The International Space University (ISU) is a private university offering graduate-level programmes related to space activities (Master of Sciences in Space Studies, Master of Space Management) onsite in Strasbourg (France), and a Summer Session Programme (SSP) taking place every year in a different location (SSP 2004: Australie, SSP 2005: Canada, SSP 2006: Strasbourg, SSP 2007: China).

The academic programmes are supported by the main space agencies in the world, by a number of companies and several prestigious universities. Aside from its objective of training the space leaders of tomorrow, the ISU teachings are based on the ISU's three "I" philosophy: international, intercultural, and interdisciplinary, so that students from different backgrounds and cultures can learn to interact and work well together.

Established in 1988, ISU has graduated more than 2 400 students from 93 countries (latest update summer 2006).
